GET A CALCULATOR, TEXT, OR STUDENT SOLUTIONS MANUAL

Students who are using the text Math for Business and Life can get certain products from this Web page.

Products

Calculators. You can have the use of a financial calculator. Here's how if works:

Step 1. Decide which calculator to get - the Hewlett Packard 10BII or the Texas Instruments BAIIPLUS. Your instructor may have a preference. If not, remember both calculators are excellent machines and do everything covered in the text. Here are a few basic differences. The HP10BII has a larger display (12 digits compared to 11), makes it easier to change the decimal setting and, for most applications, requires fewer keystrokes. The TIBAIIPLUS uses worksheets, and while there are more keystrokes involved, it is easier to review and change entries; it also has a few extra features, such as depreciation, bond, and date applications.

Step 2. You purchase the calculator at the price shown below. You also pay a shipping and handling fee.

Step 3
. If you return the calculator within five (5) months, you will be refunded the price of the calculator. You will NOT receive a refund of the shipping and handling fee.

Note: Most people end up liking their calculator so much they will not part with it. If you think you will end up keeping your calculator, consider buying one elsewhere because you may be able to buy it at a lower cost. New and used calculators can be purchased on web sites such as eBay and Amazon.com; be careful to get the current model (see images below). You can also buy through Staples (800-378-2753), Office Max (800-283-7674), Office Depot (800-463-3768), Valley (800-462-2019), Wholesale (800-880-9400), and El Dorado (800-227-8292). Remember if you buy from someone other than us you cannot return the calculator to us for a refund.

User’s Guides. Everything you need to know about your calculator in order to complete Math for Business and Life is included in the text. As a result, we will not include a User’s Guide in your calculator shipment. To do so would increase your cost. If you want a User’s Guide you can order one separately (now, or after you have decided to keep your calculator). The User’s Guide cannot be returned for a refund.
New Texts, Blemished. We occasionally have a few new texts that have imperfections (such as wrinkles or marks on the cover). We offer these at a reduced price. No refunds.
Hardback Texts. Most schools use the softback version of Math for Business and Life, but some schools and students prefer the book in hardback form. The content is the same as the softback version. No refunds.
Get Rich Slow. This is a book written by the author about investing in rental real estate. It uses a proven, easy-to-use 9-Step Approach: (1) The pros and cons of investing in rental real estate; (2) Getting a Team of Experts, (3) Eliminating overpriced properties, (4) Estimating Net Operating Income, (5) Income taxes on rental property, (6) Crunching numbers, (7) Projecting cash flows and rates of return, (8) Buying the property, and (9) Being an effective landlord.
Student Solution Manuals. Answers to Chapter Review Problems and Practice Tests are in Appendix B of the text. Step-by-step solutions are on our Web site, free of charge. A printed version of solutions is available through most college bookstores. If your bookstore does not have any, you can purchase one from us. No refunds.
